Go check out Prime!: Anyone interested in DAoC may want to check out Prime: Battle for Dominus. It's kinda like DAoC, but with scifi, and jetpacks, and Sanya.

As may be obvious by the dates on the last couple news posts, neither I nor anyone else is currently working on Classes of Camelot (it's something of a miracle it's still working, really).

So, if you're visiting... why?

Never mind that, let's move on to the point of this post - Prime! Prime: Battle for Dominus is an in-development scifi MMO scheduled for release this year. It's not QUITE DAoC in space (for one thing, it's much more explicitly PvP-focused than DAoC ever was). But anyone interested in DAoC should take a look, because it has:
  • Three-faction combat

  • An end-game of territorial control

  • GM events

  • Bounty Hunters

  • Jetpacks

  • Sanya

They'll be releasing more information every week, but the forums are active now, so go check it out to get in early on what could be the next great PvP MMO.

For anyone who may be confused as to what happened with the DAoC Catacombs, we have a new home called the MMO Catacombs with a much better interface, and even a shout box! :)

You can see what's up with the Catacombs community here.

The servers will be coming down in 15 minutes to address the RP bonus bug that was inadvertently introduced with Wednesday’s Live version.

While active, the bug allowed hundreds of players to accumulate hundreds of thousands of RPs in the span of a few hours. An experienced player will know that acquiring that many RPs is something that takes weeks or possibly months to accomplish. Unfortunately, in order for us to fully remedy the situation, we are required to perform a character rollback for the day, and any progress made during the day will be lost. We investigated every possible alternative before coming to that conclusion, and deeply apologize for this setback. We value your patronage greatly, and we will do our best to make this up to you in the coming days.

The estimated time of return is 7:00 A.M. EDT.
--------------------------------------------------------------

My guess is they'll be adding some bonus RPs for RvR for a brief period of time to make up for it.

But I've finally updated the spell pages to reflect the changes in 1.96 to the Enchanter, Spiritmaster, and Wizard. I promise I won't wait until 1.98 before making the 1.97 changes.
