Conspiracy: Dark Development (Level 40)

Step 1: When you are ready, return to the Kings Royal Chamberlain, Harlen, in Camelot to receive your next mission.

Step 2: Right click on the Letter to the Baron in your inventory and /use it to scan the letter for directions to the meeting place.

Step 3: Travel to the meeting site in Shrouded Isles. The letter instructs you to look for a messenger in an abandoned village to the southeast of Avalon City.
/loc 42080, 32344 Avalon Isle all grey to 50. They will probably be blue to 40. There is lots of aggro here and it is the spawn place of Bolin. If you are solo you might want to avoid him. The messenger will turn into a demon and attack so be ready for a fight before you start talking to npc.
Step 4: During your conversation the messenger revealed his true identity as a demon. Return to Chamberlain Harlen in Camelot with this news and the Sheaf of Documents you retrieved from the Demon's body.

Step 4a: Continue speaking with Chamberlain Harlen about the messenger that transformed into a [demon abomination].

Step 5: Seek out Master Narudos in the Academy in Camelot and ask him to help you find Anataeus.
Narudos is on the second floor of the Academy above the wizard trainer, Master Grundelth. /loc 25667, 22534, 8391 Camelot.
Step 6: /Use the Teleport Stone from within the Academy to teleport to Anataeus' retreat. Locate Anataeus and learn more about Albion's demonic enemies. The stone can be used to teleport between the Academy and the Retreat until you have learned all you can.
When you /use the stone you are teleported into Anataeus' Sanctuary which is an instanced dungeon. Its a small instance, about the size of the Throne Room. Talk to Anataeus. When you click on [never know it] Anataeus turns into Anataeus' Doppleganger and Kelec appears from nowhere and kills him. You might not get a chance to help. Try to retarget the doppleganger and attack. Talk to Kelec. Sometimes Kelec will get stuck and not talk to you. When this happens the journal will not advance.

What has worked for me, when he gets stuck, is that I use the teleport stone and wait in the academy for a few minutes. You will be able to port back in when the instance resets. Do not try to teleport back in immediately as it probably will not help.
Step 7: You've managed to overcome the demon impersonating Anataeus. Ask Kelec what happened.

Step 8: Return to Chamberlain Harlen and tell him about Kelec and what happened to Anataeus.
When you click [ready] he will teleport you directly into the Throne room. Make sure you are ready to go when you talk to him, but make sure you don't wait too long or you might have to reset the instance.

This completes the Dark Development section of Conspiracy. I received 780 champ xp at level 50 for this. As someone who is not yet level 50 you will gain zero champ xp. You also receive 1.56 billion xp and 5 gold. [yeah the king is cheap]

Conspiracy: Rite of Binding (Level 40)

Step 1: When you are ready and have and are of the fortieth season, return to the Chamberlain Harlen in the Throne Room of Camelot. [You may need to exit the throne room and wait for it to reset before continuing]

Step 1: Continue speaking to Chamberlain Harlen about how [Kelec agreed] to help extract the information from demons to aid in the search for Anataeus.

Step 2: Locate Kelec within the confines of the Academy in Camelot City and speak to him about the items he requires for the rite of binding.
You can find Kelec at /loc 24639, 21845 in the Academy. He is upstairs @ loc.
Step 3: Read Kelec's list to locate the first reagent. The first reagent will require you to dig for hallowed earth.
/faceloc 40636, 48639 in Avalon Marsh
Read Kelec's list to locate the second reagent. Kill an Elder Beech.
[can never find one when you need one] Cornwall 42108, 25002 I found some elder beech to kill.
Read Kelec's list to locate the third reagent.
Lyonesse, /dig at the end of the path to lyonesse at the waters edge. /loc 55693, 39024 Lyonesse
Read Kelec's list to locate the fourth reagent.
Lyonesse. Close to the last reagent, kill a pealaidh for its roe. Sometimes they are way out in the water.
Read Kelec's list to locate the fifth reagent.
Eva Aldar in Cornwall Station.
Step 4: Take the Full Bag of Reagents to Kelec in Camelot.

Step 5: Go to Salisbury Plains and look for Kelec at the standing stones across from the outpost keep that is northeast of the outpost keep that is on the edge of the Campacorentin Forest. Be cautious of the demon summoning and prepare for combat.
You will find Kelec at loc 12526 45082, Salisbury plains. You will have to kill the demon after he summons it so be ready before you talk to Kelec. You can't save him. Bashnak, the demon, is green con to 50. So if you are level 40 you might want some backup.
Step 6: Return to Chamberlain Harlen and tell him about the demon host and Kelec's fate.

This step concludes the Rite of Binding portion of Conspiracy quest. The reward for this one is the same as for the previous portion.

Conspiracy: Forging the Key (Level 40)

Step 1: Return to Chamberlain Harlen when you are ready to continue.

Step 2: Seek out Master Narudos inside the Academy in Camelot and speak with him about constructing a tool to aid in the rescue of Anataeus.
He's going to ask you to do some more farming. Not so painful this time. [Narudos loc= /loc 25667, 22534, 8391 Camelot.]
Step 3: Read Master Narudos' List to learn where to find Nethril ore. Select one of the locations listed and begin your hunt for the ore.
View map.

Pick the site you feel most comfortable with. I've done all three. If you know your way around the barrows the Stone Sentinels are easy to find. They are near Uther's Tomb, just passed the mean walking sticks. The spawn didnt take very long.

The Arawnite Headhunters are in Lyonesse; thats one strike. They don't spawn very fast; thats two strikes. Very few headhunters have Nethril; you're out. That being said, if you are primarily a ranged attacker you might want to try this as you can get good range and they are green to 50.

I originally went with my scout to the wrong location for the Granite Giants in Dartmoor and I think they are still picking up pieces of Saracen at that spot. Then someone told me where the standing stones were and I felt stupid. Check map and you will see the spot in the northeast corner, just like it says when you /use Narudos' map. Granite Giants @loc 61226 9095 Dartmoor. This is by far the easiest if you can melee a green giant or two. They have a very very wide aggro range.
Step 4/5: you got the first 2 ores.

Step 6: Return to master Narudos' inside the Academy in Camelot with the 3 chunks of Nethril that you gathered.
You got the 3rd ore. Make sure to separate the chunks before you give them to Narudos.
Step 7: Give Master Narudos' the second chunk of ore you found.

Step 8: Give Master Narudos' the third chunk of ore you found.

Step 9: Return to Chamberlain Harlen and let him know that Master Narudos' has begun constructing the amulet.

This completes the Forging the Key section of the Conspiracy Quest.

Conspiracy: Finding the Keeper (Level 40)

Step 1: When you are ready, return to the King's Royal Chamberlain, Harlen, when you are ready to receive your next mission.

Step 2: Seek out Master Narudos' to obtain the amulet and rescue Anataeus.
Like you couldn't wait til he was done to talk to Harlen... Well this makes it like the real world.
Step 3: Go to jail. Do not pass go. Do not leave til Geryon is dead. [ok the real text] Go to the entrance of Darkness Falls and use the amulet to enter the demon's lair. Speak Oonalo once you are inside the prison.

Everyone in the group should talk to Oonalo. Someone has to drag his butt around to all the other mobs in the dungeon. Oonalo will power up on Darkness and Hate. He grows larger after you kill the first boss. It may be hard to see whats going on around you because he is so large. You might want to have a support player lead Oonalo, or a pet class that is used to things getting in the way. You must kill Darkness and Hate for him to power up. He will follow the last person to talk with him. If you are in a group and someone keeps talking to him they obviously want the imp to follow him.

Your amulet should provide the right directions as you wander around. Darkness is to the left and all left when you have a choice. Hate is to the right and all rights when you have a choice. There is an in-game /map for this area. Geyron should be in the southwest corner. Before you kill Darkness or Hate, but after you get them aggro'd, a messenger mob will leave the room and summon 3 subjugators for Eternal Darkness or 3 harbingers for Eternal Hate. I'm thinking they were designed to catch the unaware while they are resting. Kill him quickly and get out. Same with Hate. I only suggest leaving quickly because, depending on how long your fight with the first two bosses are, you might not be ready for another fight. If you are well rested and have power by all means kill the subjugators/harbingers too. Anything for added champ xp. [if you are level 50 that is]

Both mobs will have guardians nearby. If you are careful, especially if you are solo, you should be able to clear the guardians and any other mobs in the room, before you attempt Darkness or Hate. One way to do this is to have a shield tank engage the boss while everyone else killed the guardians and whatever adds that happened to be near. This is best done if you have lots of dmg in the form of Theur pets, Ice Wizzie or reaver/merc tanks that are not engaging boss. Another way is to skirt the walls to each guardian. Dark/Hate are solo'able but not by everyone. Remember this is an instance and if you had trouble soloing either and bring friends in they will get harder deal with as well.

Step 4/5: Defeat Eternal Darkness. The Wayfinder Amulet will guide you to his lair.
If you've killed Hate, and the other way around if you killed Dark first.

Before you get to Geryon, you will have to kill a spider. Right after you finish him off you will go down the tunnel and be in Geyron's Lair. Before you actually get to the Lair, the person with Oonalo should to get in range so Oonalo can run off to say hi to Geryon. At this point you might want to consider how easy it is going to be for your rezzer to get back to rez your party should you wipe. If there is aggro in the way back he will probably not make it.

There is a ledge, similar to the entrance to the Cooks Room in DF, before you get into the actual lair. It is difficult to pull his guardians without pulling Geyron, but it can be done. If you go in solo he is OJ. If you are not solo, he is a blistering purple. Solo, he is one of the ugliest OJ's I've ever seen, and that includes the OJ drinkers in Brimstone Caverns. He used to have an aoe nuke. I'm not sure if he still does because the last time I did this I duo'd him with a friar with SoR, with me as a s/s pally. The aggro range for a duo is such that you can, if you are careful pull each of his guardians separately. Hug the walls and drop font of healing out of aggro range and slowly get close enough to guardian, along the wall, to taunt.

Body resists are a must. This worked really well with an ice wizzie/pally/cleric group. If you wipe first try to take the guardians out with you, then come back and kill Geyron. As long as you have one person in the dungeon it shouldn't reset. If you don't have someone in the dungeon you may have to start over.
Step 8: Now that you've freed him, speak with Anataeus. Then, return to Chamberlain Harlen in Camelot to inform him that you defeated the demon host and freed Anataeus.
[Yes, I missed 6 and 7 but its kill the spider, let Oonalo do his thing and kill Geyron] After Geyron dies, talk to Anataeus and he will port you to Camelot. Speak with Harlen. Keep speaking with Harlen until he turns into a demon. He will attack shortly after he demonizes so be ready for a fight before you start talking to him. The NPC's in the Throne Room move to protect the King, even though the doppleganger doesn't seem to be after anyone but you. The NPC's all crowd the hallway to protect the King and do not assist you at all. Talk to the King when Harlen dies.

The King will clear the quest and start you on chapter 3 (if you're level 50). Now you can go to the Weaponmaster and get your Champion Weapon. You may have to exit the instance and re-enter to talk to Harlen again.
