Though they get the "Champion" name, Champion Tasks are completely unrelated to the rest of the expansion. They are simply a way for players to get more experience; but since they are available from levels 5 to 49 only, they can't be used to get Champion experience.

Champion Tasks come in three flavors - delivery, dispatch, and combat. Delivery and dispatch are essentially the same thing - you go to an NPC somewhere else in the realm; the only difference being whether you talk to them or give them something when you get there. Combat tasks, naturally enough, involve you being sent to kill something. Unlike regular kill tasks, though, you're not sent to kill a random monster - you're sent out after mobs made specifically for these tasks. The monsters tend to be quite a lot harder than you'll ever see with old tasks - you might be fighting an orange con with spells, as opposed to some random blue.

In my limited testing, the delivery and combat tasks earned the same amount of experience (half a bubble) while the dispatch quest earned less (three tenths of a bubble). The bigger reward for the delivery compared to dispatch seemed to be because the delivery sent me farther away.

You are allowed only five Champion Tasks per level; but you can have more than one at a time (one of each type) and they do not expire, as do other tasks. You can be killed, log off, wait a week, etc., and your task will still be in your journal.
