Go check out Prime!: Anyone interested in DAoC may want to check out Prime: Battle for Dominus. It's kinda like DAoC, but with scifi, and jetpacks, and Sanya.

Style Info

This page allows you to calculate the growth rate of a style. You first have to do a little research, though.

First, collect some information about your character:

  • Weapon spec is the spec plus bonuses of whatever weapon you are using. If you're dual wielding, it will not be DW spec, but the regular weapon spec attached to it.
  • Quickness is whatever shows up on the character sheet.
  • Haste should only be melee combat speed bonus from items. If you have spell effects that give haste, remove them. I've included haste so you can test growth rates with whatever weapon you have, even if it includes a bonus to weapon speed... but am not taking into account haste values stacking.
  • Weapon speed should be the main hand weapon ONLY, even if you are dual wielding.
  • Your unstyled damage cap is basically the damage you will do vs. an extremely low level mob when not using a style. To find this, go whack a level 1 mob or two - all your attacks against a level 1 should cap (assuming you're not low level).

Then you need to hit something with the style you want to test. I strongly suggest using the test mobs on Pendragon (they're just outside the capital cities), because you can tell them to not attack back, and they don't have any damage resistances or vulnerabilities.

Make sure that your weapons and stats and spells are the same when you attack the mob as they were when you found your unstyled damage cap.

If you choose another mob that DOES have a resistance or vulnerability, you need to account for that in the total damage field. If your attack line reads "You attack the Thrust with your sword and hit for 67 (-9) damage!", you need to add the 9 damage to 67 for your total damage. If it had been (+9) then you would need to subtract 9 from 67.

Next, find your style damage. Above your main damage line should be a note that you performed your style perfectly. It will have a value in parentheses - "You perform your Jab perfectly. (+34)". Use that value as your style damage.
