Go check out Prime!: Anyone interested in DAoC may want to check out Prime: Battle for Dominus. It's kinda like DAoC, but with scifi, and jetpacks, and Sanya.

Le Wedding Du Jour
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 12/23/2002 8:37:08 PM
Yes, yes, I did it. I went and got married. No longer shall I sit at home and play games on my computer on Saturday nights (like I ever have time to play game anymore...) but now, I can excitingly sit at home and play games on my computer with my wife on Saturday night. Hopefully the camelot-related news will be slow for a while, as I am spending Christmas with my family, and then my wife and I are off to our Honeymoon from the 26th to Jan. 2nd. I have been forbidden to bring my laptop while we're away, so I won't be able to check e-mail or update the site until we return. Enjoy the holidays. One small note before I depart - I added "Charge" to the combat skills page, and to the Mercenary, Blademaster, and Berzerker pages.

Today we've got a new Shaman guide by Vorard. I also updated the new styles lists to include the Bow combat styles, and a reference key. I'm still working on Spells-SI.xml.

That’s just what we call ‘pillow-talk’, baby.

Let's get the little stuff out of the way first today: there's a new Animist Message Board this week, a new Bonedancer & Savage website called Trollheim, a new Animist Strategy Guide by Altwaal, and a new Skald site called The Skald's Rhyme. Also, I got an e-mail from the Author of the DAoC Vault Assist program - he's made a bunch of changes 'n fixes 'n stuff, so if you haven't given it a look recently, now's your chance =)
I dunno if I'm the first, but I'm sure you'll enjoy 'em anyhow. The new XML-generated Style Lists are live! Now, please note that I'm still working on the reference key, and that the bow styles were not included in Styles.xml, so I'm going to have to add them manually later, but other than that....enjoy. A special thanks goes to RonSolo for helping me overcome the weirdest bug that shouldn't ever have existed.

D’oh.xml
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 12/7/2002 8:55:56 PM
So, I thought I could get the SI spells.xml up and working in a few hours - I just had to add new spell definitions, and viola. Well, turns out spells-si.xml is written differently from spells.xml to accomidate the new "pet cast" (Bonedancer, Necromancer) and "subspell" (Reaver, Savage, Valewalker) features... which means I have to change how my programs actually parse the xml file, which is a bit more difficult than just changing the display file... so it's going to take longer than I originally expected. I have no ETA, as I'm very busy preparing for my wedding (Dec. 21st), but hopefully sometime during this week you'll see the SI spell lists.
In other news, Yuen sent me pics for the Valewalker, Savage, and Bonedancer, yay! I also added racial resistances for the Inconnu, Valkyn, and Sylvan on the Albion, Hibernia, and Midgard general info pages. Lastly, here's a list of the SI info I'm still missing, just in case anyone wants to e-mail it to me (hint, hint).

Official Descriptions (i.e. in the game manual or something) of Disciples, The Temple of Arawn, and The Path of Affinity.
Class/Level titles for the Necromancer, Reaver, Bonedancer, and Savage
Trainer Lists for the new zones (trainer name, class name, and zone, please!)
Any Autotrain info that I might've missed for the new classes

So, if you happen to be bored, and know or can find out any of the above items, I'd love to hear from you =)

Woot.xml
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 12/4/2002 8:40:25 PM
First, we've got new Animist and Enchanter Message Board, the Fid-Nemeth Boards, and a new guild, the Dark Crusaders. I've also been informed, for all you log parsers out there, there's actualy a real-time log parser called Waldo (wow, parsing in real-time!). Second, Mythic released the SI version of spells.XML, and *gasp* styles.xml! Now, the SI spells.xml is a little different from the other spells.xml, but it shouldn't take me too long to get the new SI class spell lists up. Styles.xml however, is completely new to me, and though I'm working on it, it may take a few days =)
