Go check out Prime!: Anyone interested in DAoC may want to check out Prime: Battle for Dominus. It's kinda like DAoC, but with scifi, and jetpacks, and Sanya.

Free stuff is good.

So I added a section to the FAQ page 6 about auto-training, and included each class's auto-train info right beneath their ability/skill charts (if they have any auto-trained skills). So, now you should be able to visit your class page, and if they auto-train something, you'll know about it. In other news, there will be a signup for Shrouded Isles Beta on the Camelot Herald today. I guess that means I'll have to get you some SI info soon =)
Also, there's a new Reaver & Necromancer site called The Crypt of Albion. It's just starting up, like most SI sites, but it's run by the same person who does The Drunken Friar, so once it gets going it should be a really good site.

More Links than the Legend of Zelda
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/25/2002 9:37:05 AM
The Camelot Seer has been very busy these past few days, and have created three wonderful informational pages for us - Realm Rank chart by title and realm points needed, a Weapon Effectiveness chart by realm and damage type, and a table of all offensive spells in the game and what Magic Resistances they use.
I got a lot of feedback about the Auto-Train issue, which is good =) Here's the auto-train list I've compiled from your feedback. I think it's fairly accurate and comprehensive, but I wanted to give you guys a few days to look over it and note any problems before I officially include the info in the site, so if you notice something that's still missing, or something that's in error, please let me know.
I think that's it for today, but I wanted you guys to know - I'm moving on Friday, and I'm not 100% sure my new ISP will have all the necessary equipment and connections available the day I move in. In other words, it may be a few days without a news update, depending on how busy I am moving, and when my ISP decides to respond to the 926491746 messages I've left on their voicemail. I'd say if I'm not connected by Tuesday, I'll go ahead and plug in a phone modem (ewww) just to push out whatever changes I may have accrued over the weekened.

Call the Orkin Man
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/20/2002 9:37:21 AM
I fixed a few more bugs on the spell pages - the Enchanter, Mentalist, and Eldritch damage shields had the same name as the Enchanter Pet Damage Shield (and thus the same, but wrong, value), so I've fixed that, and I also separated the Minstrel's two DD lines (they used to view as if they were the same spell line). Also, there's a new Paladin guild and class-specific site, The Faithful, and Lok has submitted to us a great new guide, Spellcrafting Theory and Limits.
Lastly, a few days back a reader asked me "Which classes auto-train which skills?" Well, I know a few of them, but not all of them, and it sounds to me like something I should stick on the class pages somewheres. If you know of a class (or classes, preferably) that autotrains a skill, please let me know. I'll compile a list and find someway to display it.

Title-riffic? Title-tacular? Title-y cool?
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/19/2002 9:25:31 AM
Today, I have every class title up and online! I also fixed a bug with the Paladin health regen listing the health returned as a precentage instead of +X HP. See, I knew there'd be a bug in the new scripts somewhere. =)

More Hibernian Titles
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/18/2002 9:38:04 AM
Today and Yesterday, Josh sent me another huge list of class titles - this time Hibernia, and along with the other e-mails of class titles I got, I was able to fill in all but two titles - the 25 Blademaster and the 35 Mentalist titles, so if you know either of them, send em' in, we've almost got them all! In other news, Legends of Camelot updated their Hero guide and also changed it's URL, so re-bookmark if you need to.

Editor’s Note is no more.
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/17/2002 9:49:48 AM
I've removed the editor's note in favor of a link to a better description of the things I could use some help with, and the types of information submissions I accept. Also, today all of the Midgard Class titles are up! This leaves only a handful of Hibernian class titles until we have them all, so get crackin' =). Lastly, I'm officially changing my contact e-mail to mistwolf@classesofcamelot.com. Yeah... I finally coughed up the money to buy a nice shiney address instead of leeching one from work. So, you can still reach me at trevor@udel.edu, but I'd prefer if Classes of Camelot mail came via the new address, and I'll be changing all the e-mail links on the site accordingly. Thanks guys!

Mmmm... news......
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/16/2002 11:15:41 AM
If you visit Camelot Seer with any regularity, you'd know that Dredmama retired from webmaster there, and passed the site on to new hands. Unfortunately, our spell list database was hosted at Camelot Seer, as Eugeni (Dredmama) and I had worked together on that project. Well, he left, and with it went my database =) The short of it is that I've spent the last week recreating the database on my computer, and today, I'm uploading the files based on my DB. Now, I've gone pretty in-depth into these suckers, and you actually shouldn't see any difference between these and the old ones... but every time I say that, someone finds a bug somewheres =) So, be on the lookout for any small bugs I missed, and let me know if you find one. The new lists actually fix a few of the old problems though... the Healer insta-cast crowd control spells that were missing from he old DB are in this one, the files now say what class they're for in the top left, I went ahead and added the SI classes that will have spells, and lastly, the files themselves should be about 20% smaller, which is good news for you modem users =). Just a reminder - there's no spell data for the SI classes yet, but as soon as it becomes available, I'll put it up.
In other news, thanks go out to Josh for sending me almost every Midgard class title I was missing (I think there's only 5 titles missing from Midgard now). So, be on the lookout for those 5 titles, and also the ones we're still missing from Hibernia.

This news looks surprisingly like Monday’s
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/11/2002 11:42:16 AM
Whyrl Wynd updated his Ranger Guide today, and some new levels titles are up. There's also a new link to Lokmar's Camelot Poster Maps on the links page. Ever get lost running around the realm, but don't feel like printing out someone's maps, and even when you do, they're too small to read? Well, Lokmar has the answer - full poster-sized maps of each realm.

Stuff
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/9/2002 11:42:45 AM
There's a new Enchanter guide today from Jester, and some new levels titles are up (we're almost done those class level titles, so keep sendin' 'em in!!) and also a new link to Fricka's MMORPG and general geek shop (called Offline T-shirts on the links page). Fricka runs a pretty cool site - t-shirts, mousepads, mugs, etc. with custom designing available, so check it out.

New Guide
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/5/2002 11:45:56 AM
Just a small update today - there's a new guide on the guides page from Lok - a huge guide explaining all the details of PBAE Groups, strategies for them, terminology, tactics, and an all-around how-to-PBAE. It's a great guide, everyone interested in PBAE'ing should read it.

Guides Stuff
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/4/2002 9:57:32 AM
So, a few of you have been asking for dates & game version number tags for the guides, so I'm going to break down and begin adding them from today =). Problem is, I don't have them for a lot of the older ones... I only archive my news for 3 months before deleting it. If you have a new or old guide featured on this site, please send me an e-mail with the date and game version number. If you go over to the Guide page, you'll see the new date & version column. I'll be adding the dates & versions of the guides I know about, but I fear many will remain as a "?" so if there are any guides on this site that are just plain old, wrong, outdated, misleading, etc. please let me know so we can remove them and not confuse people with old guides. Lastly, I went ahead and updated my Druid guide, so that it's all shiny & current.

Housekeeping
Submitted by: Mistwolf on 9/3/2002 11:14:38 AM
I did some housekeeping on the spells lists this morning - nothing major, but here is a list of things that've been changed: the resistance debuff "Banish Will" displays it's <info> tag properly, and now so does the AE Str & Con buff "Banish Will" (Note to future game designers: make sure your spells all have unique names dernit); the Enchanter spell, Lesser Disenchanting Emanation is called "Lesser Disenchanting Emanationdirect" in spells.XML, but I fixed it to display properly in our lists; the Healer, Cleric, and Druid spec. Resurrect lines are not split anymore; the Minstrel's cure mesmerize spell no longer splits the Minstrel's Single Target Mesmerize spell line; the Hibernian Major Healing line is no longer split; and Self-Bladeturn spell durations now read "600 sec. or Until Hit" instead of just "Until Hit." You guys know by now, if there's anything else funky, just give a hollar and I'll fix it =)
In other news, there's a new Warden Guide by Kallah up today, really nice one, too, but alas there are no new class level titles today, because you guys have been slacking, and haven't sent me any this week =P
